Long time, no blog. I can only offer an unreserved apology (I have not, however, tendered my resignation).

I've been spending more time on Leila's blog than on my own. Just given her some orchids. Talking of flowers, my fancy was rather taken by this story about landmine-detecting flowers. On a similar note, I also discovered that Cambridgeshire boasts a paramedic rabbit.

Did you know that the world boasted more than just one Jonathan Coe? Incredible but true... My namesake is also a famous author, he grew up only about 5 miles from me, went to the college next-door to mine (but slightly inferior), and also got his degree from the Faculty of English (though he never quite made it into Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic). So many near misses... Poor bugger must be kicking himself, and wondering where it all went wrong.

Getting very excited about a new game from Paradox (creators of Europa Universalis—probably my favourite game ever). This one's called Crusader Kings and is scheduled for release sometime this quarter, though judging by their past performance that's likely to slip a bit.

I'm a bit obsessive about the weather forecast, which I get from the BBC site. Next week it's allegedly going to get properly cold (i.e. below freezing, which is, after all, what one expects of winter). I hope so—I'll be pissed off if it stays in it's current moist, grey, turgid rut. (Alright, alright, I know turgid means something else, but it sounded appropriate...)

Rather impressed by one of my old chums', Richard Fairhurst's, projects: geowiki, 'virtual psychogeography'.

Spent a wee while making this look pretty, and, urm... Bit daft that it adds my name to every post, seeing as how I'm the only possible poster at the moment anyway.

Leila's setting up her blog too. Pink apparently, and soon to be floral. :) I'll put up a link as soon as ('if', even) she decides to make it public.

So, what's up webwise? Not much to report yet. A new Weebl and Bob has just gone up. Pretty good, but not their best—I thought 'diet' was genius. The Glirarium has a little Weebl and Bob box at the bottom which links to all the episodes.

Right, off to work now. Hi ho...

Wumple. Nyurf. Guhh. Rrrrgh.
Hello. I have woken from a long sleep.
I've been expecting you.
