- The Chernobyl exclusion zone has become a haven for wildlife.
- Antarctica's buried lakes are connected by a network of rivers moving water far beneath the surface, say UK scientists. This raises problems for those hoping to drill into the lakes to examine their isolated ecosystems.

Well, that all went rather well!
I only had time to feel really nervous while I was just hanging around before the ceremony. After meeting the registrars, I was on a conveyor belt for the rest of the day. Everything was so well organised, and family, friends, and hotel staff so helpful, that I didn't have anything to worry about. We (my lovely wife and I!) had a wonderful time, and we hope all our guests did too.
I'll be posting photos at some point soonish. I see that Alex already has some photos.
Our honeymoon in Barcelona was fantastic. Because we'd both been before, we didn't feel as though we had to cram all the usual sight-seeing in, so we had plenty of time to explore the city's restaurants and cafés. Restaurants that deserve a special mention are:

Our honeymoon in Barcelona was fantastic. Because we'd both been before, we didn't feel as though we had to cram all the usual sight-seeing in, so we had plenty of time to explore the city's restaurants and cafés. Restaurants that deserve a special mention are:
- Egipte, on the Rambla (inexpensive, but good tapas, and friendly service)
- Organic, on Carrer de Junta de Comerç (cheap, but delicious vegetarian food)
- Merendero de la Mari, by the Palau de Mar (great seafood, but expensive). We ate here twice: once in the evening, when we sat outside and had two waiters all to ourselves (the place was packed inside but nobody else wanted to brave the chill sea breeze—we were given blankets!); the second time was on a warm afternoon when the place was packed inside and out.
- Bubo, on the Plaça Santa Maria del Mar (unpromisingly named, but amazing, unconventional tapas and sweets—two separate shops on the same street)
- Els Quatre Gats, on the Carrer de Montsio (a favourite of the Modernistas—the decor is sumptuously bohemian, and the food and service are fabulous). We came here for dinner on our last day, and it was the perfect end to a very special holiday.
